From Feb 26 to Mar 24, Uber Taxi will give away a total of 4.5 million Asia Miles to 300 eligible riders. During the campaign period, simply ride with Uber Taxi and the first 75 riders who have completed 10 or more Uber Taxi trips each week will be rewarded with 15,000 miles (equivalent to a round-trip ticket between Hong Kong and Taipei*).

How do I participate?
- No pre-registration is required. Riders who successfully completed the required number of Uber Taxi trips (excluding Metered Taxi trips) on a weekly basis will automatically be eligible to participate in the campaign.
- There will be a total of four campaign weeks:
○ Week 1: Feb 26 – Mar 3
○ Week 2: Mar 4 – Mar 10
○ Week 3: Mar 11 – Mar 17
○ Week 4: Mar 18 – Mar 24
Number of trips for each campaign week will be calculated starting from Monday and ending on Sunday. The number of trips will be recalculated after the end of each campaign week.
- Each week’s reward recipients will be announced on the following Monday of the participating week via email. Reward recipients will also be notified individually via email and will be required to provide Cathay membership details.
- Every rider is only eligible to receive the 15,000 miles reward once during the whole campaign period.
- Riders can check the Uber blog for the number of remaining rewards of each week.
- If any contacted reward recipient is unable to reply the email and provide the required information,the reward recipient is deemed to have forfeited their reward status and the next eligible rider who has fulfilled the criteria will be entitled to the reward.
Announcement of reward recipients
- The campaign period is from 26th February 2024 until 24th March 2024 (both days inclusive), or until the Quota (as defined below) has been exhausted, whichever is earlier.
- An Uber app user who has successfully completed 10 or more Uber Taxi trips (excluding Metered Taxi trips) as a rider during a Campaign Week as defined below (the “Criteria”) is entitled to participate in this campaign (an “Eligible Rider”). Each week of the campaign will start on Monday 00:00 am and last until the following Sunday 23:59 pm during the campaign period (a “Campaign Week”), and only trips during this period will be counted for that Campaign Week. Trips taken during each Campaign Week cannot be accumulated and counted towards any subsequent Campaign Week.
- For Campaign Week, the first 75 Eligible Riders who fulfill the Criteria will be entitled to receive 15,000 Asia Miles (the “Reward”) each. A maximum number of 300 Rewards (the “Quota”) is available for the whole campaign period.
- Each Eligible Rider is only eligible to receive the Reward up to once during the campaign period provided all conditions are satisfied.
- An Eligible Rider who has been granted the Reward (a “Rewarded Rider) will be notified by email and announced on the uber.com blog every Monday the week after their participation. Riders who have not been granted the Reward will not be separately notified.
- Rewards will be granted to Eligible Riders on a first-come-first-serve basis; if more than one eligible Uber Taxi trip occur at the same time, the priority will be given to the Eligible Rider who has taken the most Uber Taxi trips.
- In order to satisfy the Criteria, the Uber Taxi trips must be started and completed during a Campaign Week and must be within Hong Kong. Cancelled trips will not be counted.
- The Reward will be calculated at the end of each Campaign Week, and will be credited to the Rewarded Rider’s Cathay membership account within 2 to 4 weeks after the Rewarded Rider’s eligibility has been announced and Cathay membership details and other required information have been received.
- Rewarded Riders will receive a separate email notification to provide all the required information, including his/her Cathay membership number and full name. By submitting this information, users confirm their consent to the use of their personal data for the purpose of administering the campaign. Contacted Rewarded Riders will have 10 working days to reply to the email with required information in order to be eligible to obtain the Reward.
- If any contacted Rewarded Rider is unable to provide the required information via the channel designated in the email notification within the 10 working days after they have been contacted, such Rewarded Rider is deemed to have forfeited their reward status and the next Eligible Rider who has fulfilled the Criteria will be entitled to the Reward.
- Users may only have one Uber account. If Uber has reasonable grounds to suspect that a user is creating fraudulent accounts or violating these terms and conditions, the Uber Community Guidelines, the General Terms of Use and/or any applicable laws and regulations, Uber may revoke or cancel any Reward, revoke user’s eligibility to participate in this campaign and/or suspend the user account.
- Other terms and conditions, including the General Terms of Use, may apply to this promotion.
- Any and all questions related to the campaign or Uber Taxi trips shall be reported to Uber via the Uber app.
- Uber has the sole right to modify, cancel, revoke or terminate the campaign and/or the Rewards (including its Criteria and amount and quantity of Rewards) and to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notification to the Uber app user or the participant of this campaign. In case of any disputes, Uber reserves the right of final decision.
- All matters and disputes relating to the campaign will be subject to the final decisions made by Uber and Cathay.
- The Cathay Membership terms and conditions apply.
- If there is any discrepancy of the English and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
